|
|
Hi,
I've used your service a couple of times and applied the profile without any issues but on this occassion i'm having trouble with PSD to JPG.
In photoshop, i follow the instructions (Edit > Convert to Profile) and opt for the fuji profile from your site. In photoshop the colors of my photo look good.
When I save to JPG the color looks really bright - greens turn flourescent.
Any ideas? |

Hello,
Without knowing the full sequence of events it is hard to work out what is going wrong, but it must be somewhere in the workflow.
So we can get to the bottom of this please phone Paul on 01274 723622. He is available tomorrow (Sat 12the Sept) then he is off for a week.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Kind regards,
Tech Support |

| The reason for this is because Photoshop is colour managed and knows how to show the jpeg with the Fuji profile. If you close Photoshop and open the picture I will look really over saturated. |

This is what happened to my files - they are over saturated after changing the profile to Fuji ...
my question is .. can I SEND MY FILES AND BE SURE THEY WILL BE OK ?
when I open file using embedded profile option in Photoshop the JPG looks ok .. |

| I used to get this problem when using WinXP. I have now upgraded to Win 7. Under the previous OS if I opened my jpegs (having converted them to the ProAm Fuji profile) and looked at them through the windows own viewer they would look really nasty and over saturated. Open them in Photoshop and they were fine. Are you using WinXP by amy chance I was never on Vista so cannot say about that one. If you are still unsure send me a jpeg to look at here to see if it look ok? mgiddings@mgiddings.com |

yes I am using Windows XP ...lots of frustration ; /
And a clue for other users : IF THE pics LOOK OVER SATURATED on your display - they will be so as prints !!! ;(
( even if they look allright on Photoshop ) |

I always found the opposite to be true.
Perhaps you could go through your workflow to see if we can identify the problem?
Try sending me an example.
