Good afternoon
I sent some images for printing last week and having called your office, I was told that they'd been printed and posted out on Friday. I still haven't received them.
I need to supply my client with prints on Saturday so I'm now very short of time. Just in case they don't turn up tomorrow I have today posted (by special delivery) another set of images to you.
I have put a covering letter in with the images to explain what's happening but just wondered if you might be able to assist by advising me whether you would be able to send the prints back to me by special delivery to ensure I get them quickly. Also, I understand if the images don't arrive you can put in a claim after 30 days.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards |

Dear Lucy,
If your order was for less than £10 worth of prints we usually return them by first class post unless customers request Special Delivery and pay the higher charge.(Please see the price list section for full details).
A first class package sent on Friday could have arrived Saturday but Monday would have been more likely. The fact it has still not come on Tuesday does suggest a problem, but you can never be sure with the Royal Mail and it could easily arrive tomorrow.
It is true that the Royal Mail does not consider a first class item missing until at least 15 days after it was sent and although we have a certificate of posting your package they will not deal with any claim before then.
We can certainly reprint your order and return it by Special Delivery tomorrow which means you would get it back Thursday and as long as the original package does not turn up in the mean time we can put in a claim for compensation once the 15 days have expired.
When your disk arrives we will ring you first to ensure that the first class package has not turned up.
Although we have had the odd order go missing in the post, if one considers the number we send each day it can only be one in a thousand.
Hoping that yours is not that one,
Best wishes,
